The best burger in Michigan. Blue Gill is outstanding. Frank and Connie are Fantastic. You must try the homemadr onion rings and dip. Super. Ice cold beer and very nice inside. Super clean

I thought the portions and the service were above average for monroe and the beer selection made the trip worth while.

Any time i can sit next to a marina on the harbor and look out at the boats while enjoying a Bells oberon on draft i have found the atmoshere i need, calming and relaxing.

The bayou shrimp were excellent and the lamb chops that i gladly finished for my wife were out of this world; we will see how long they keep up the good work!

I thought the food was very good,but pricey. Most dinners seemed to be over 15 dollars.

Service was excellent.

Beer selection on tap was also excellent. Beer prices seemed higher than the area norm.

The owners need to pick a direction. Are they a bar (drop the prices) or are they a fine dining (lose the bud signs) establishment and invest some money in the atmosphere.

The food is good but the service is terrible. And, don't expect have any sincere apology from the owner for poor service.

Our first visit there was okay. We went with a group of friends but one of the members of the group was a relative of the owner so the service and food was fine.

The next time we took our family for dinner on a Friday evening. We waited for almost two hours for our food. The worst part was sitting their watching as tables with larger parties than ours arrived at later times received decent service and their food. When we finally got the food, my order was wrong and cold. The owner offered nothing but an I'm sorry. No apology for your inconvenience, etc. It was very disappointing to us and we vowed never to return.

Very unfortunate as we were hopeful for a new place to enjoy dinner out.

The food is very good. They have a large selection to choose from.The day I went the service was very prompt and attentive, we waited for nothing. I think the food is priced very competitively with other businesses serving similar items.

The food is good, but it seemed more expensive then what the atmosphere they provide, which basically is a big open bar area. If the food was priced a little lower or they would re-model and put in some booths then maybe I would like it more. I did like that they had a handful of microbrew michigan beers on draft.

I love the food here. The lobster Bisque is great, the fish great, the shrimp great. They have bands all the times and even an open Mic night. The service is sometimes slow. There are some waitresses who know how to serve and others who lack the training.

Great Food and the service is definately getting better. My only complaint is sometimes I just want to catch a late bite to eat and band is jamming all too loud. I think music starts at 9 or so but it would be nice if it were a little later so that the place was catering to both the diners and the partiers on the weekends.

Great atmosphere, good, well priced food. Huge selection of local brewed beer on tap.

I've been in here a few times, and every time the waitresses I've had were not only easy on the eyes, but very good at what they do.

The live entertainment on the weekends is nice too.

I'll go here for lunch from time to time. For and bar and grille, it is very nice. Overall the place is great. The food is always really good, and it's never too crowded. This bar and grille is easily one of the nicer ones I've been to.

I went into Harbor Inn the first time as a guest of one of my suppliers for lunch and although the lunch crowd was very small the food was unbeliveable. I went back the same week with my wife and family for dinner and everyone loved the food. My waitress was a little slow that time but I have been back several times since and enjoyed a couple Friday and Saturday nights with a few different bands. The crowd seemed to be a little older which made the enviroment that much more comfortable. Great place expect I will be back alot. Take time to meet the owner Frank he seems to be a great guy definatly cares what the customers think!

I went to Harbor Inn in hopes of a nice restaurant with good food and good service. The food was great! The non-smoking side was nice and smoke free, couldn't smell smoke from the other side, which was very nice for a restaurant that size with such an open floor plan. But for some reason, Monroe seems to lack good service at some of there restaurants. And substandard service was what i got from Harbor Inn. The owner is very nice and egar to take care of the customers, while the lunch time waitress aren't so much. Long story short. It seemed to me that the only patrons in the restaurant that received the excellent service were the men. So, my perception of this restaurant is if your a man your service will be over the top. If not, Ladies, expect to get your table neglected by the waitresses.

We've been there several times. The food has been very good every time. We've had seafood, steak, sandwiches... hoping to eat our way through the entire menu!

A great selection of Michigan made draft beers... also hoping to drink my way through their beer list!!

The owners take a sincere and active interest in the business and it shows. All of the staff are very professional and very personable.

i don't know what else anyoe could want... fine food, fine drink, great people!!!

I am truly excited about the Harbor Inn & Ale. The owners have done a fantastic job turning this place into something new and different to Monroe County.They have an unbelivable menu with everything from appetizers, sandwhichs, bugers, fresh fish, delicious steaks and even lobster tails. They have items priced for everyone from low to high. I think there food is high quality and tastes wonderful. There staff is friendly and helpful. They have all Michigan craft beers on tap besides your basic drafts. They have live music every weekend. I believe the band usually starts around 9 so it is perfect, you can come in have a nice dinner and then enjoy a few cocktails and free entertainment. I love the place and actually am planning a birthday party in there banquet room for this month. There Chef dale is putting together a package deal for me including certain menu items, drinks and a great price so I am very excited for that and I will be sure to update on how my event turns out for that evening. Overall I give this establishment a 100% 5 Star Review. Good Job Harbor Inn & Ale!

I've only been there three times since they've opened, but It's been good everytime. I wish I knew that they had good craft beer available on that first visit - I would have been there more. I saw a good band there too.

The staff are friendly and the food is really great. Not a place to watch the game though, unless you're sitting at the bar. I will definitely be back a lot.

This is the third or fourth time I've been to the Harbor Inn & Ale, every time has been awesome. The place has been completely redone, it's very classy, kind of reminds me of Michigan Bar. Though, they serve a few different kinds of Michigan Beer, which is a huge bonus. The food is awesome. I've had dinners, soups, burgers and the wings - all have been some of the best meals I've had in town. The homemade chips are fantastic.
But, I'll name the Michigan beers they have on tap for the beer lovers: Bells Kzoo Stout, Bells Winter White, Darkhorse Perkulator, Darkhorse Triple, New Holland Kolsch.. and few other good ones.
Great place, extremely nice staff, definitely a place we'll be going back to over and over.
