FinditMonroe.com is an online directory
of local businesses in and around Monroe County, Michigan. The website features
detailed business profiles and allows them to connect with customers through
user reviews.

How do consumers use the site?
Consumers can search by keyword in the
box or they can search the list of popular categories on the homepage. When searching by keyword, results can
easily be refined by further choosing the business category. Consumers can
click on a business at any time to view the business’ information and get a map
with driving directions.
Any visitor can read reviews of the business, but only
registered users can write reviews of their own.
All businesses in Monroe County get a
free listing on the website, but our upgraded listing options (“Better” and
“Best” packages) get a lot more attention from potential customers. Upgraded
listings not only provide more information about your business, they are
highlighted in search results and can show up on the homepage. They can

How do I purchase an upgraded “Better” or “Best” package?
To upgrade your listing, simply register
for the site and claim your business. Once your business-claim has been
approved, sign into your account and click on “My Account.” From there, you
will want to view your business profile. On your business profile page, choose
“edit options.” You can then follow the prompts to upgrade your business
to a "Better" or "Best" package.

Are there any other ad products that I can purchase besides an upgraded
listing?

We offer advertising on the home page
as well as within customized categories. Check out the rates on our advertising

Banner ads are set up to click through directly to your business’ website but
can go directly to your listing page if you prefer.
 
Which credit cards do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover
and American Express through Paypal.
 
Where is the security code on my credit card?
If you have a Visa, MasterCard or Discover, the
code is last 3 digits on the signature line of your card. If you have an
American Express card, the code is the 4 digit number printed (not raised) on
the front of your credit card.

Claiming your business allows you to
have control over the information customers see in your listing. It can be
updated at any time. It is free and easy to do.
What are the
benefits of upgrading my listing to “Better” or “Best”?

Upgraded listings allow businesses to
provide their customers with more complete information about their offerings
and get a lot more attention from potential customers. Differences between
“Basic,” “Better” and “Best” packages can be found here.
How does FinditMonroe help my business?
Potential customers come to
FinditMonroe to find out information about local businesses they may want to
use. Online reviews aid in a customer’s decision making, and FinditMonroe is
able to get a business’ marketing message to those customers when they’re ready
to make a buying decision.
 
How can I encourage customers to review my business?
All claimed businesses are welcome to
free FinditMonroe business cards from their advertising sales representative or
by emailing sales@finditmonroe.com.
These cards can be handed out to satisfied customers after they make a purchase
or use your services.

Can I change the information presented in my listing?
After you claim your business, you will have the ability to change the basic information in your listing, including business name, phone number, address and your category.
Once you purchase an upgrade, you
will have full access to change all of the basic information in your listing as well as
the ability to include your business' hours, year established, links, your business logo and other contact information. You can also upload photos, choose additional categories, and write your business description.

How do I pay for my Premium Listing?
You may use your Visa, MasterCard,
Discover or American Express credit card through Paypal. If you already have a
billing account with us, other arrangements can be made. Please contact your
sales representative or email sales@finditmonroe.com for
more information.
 
How and when will my credit card be
charged?

Your credit card will be charged on a
monthly subscription type basis.
Business
Listings

Can I include more than one business category on my listing?
Yes. If you have upgraded your listing,
you may include additional categories for your business. This will help your
business be included in all appropriate search results. “Better” listings
receive up to 3 categories, and “Best” listings receive up to 5 categories.
 
How can I respond to a review of my business?
To respond to a specific review, you
will need to be logged into the system. Go to your listing page that shows the
reviews. Under each review, there is a “Respond to Review” link. Upon clicking
the review, you will be brought to the review page where you will type your
response. Each response is also brought through a moderation process for
approval. Once approved, the response will be shown below. An example can be
viewed on the Monroe Evening News listing
page.
 
Are there guidelines for acceptance of reviews or responses?
FinditMonroe reserves the right to
review, edit, refuse, edit, and/or remove any consumer review or business
response, but has no obligation to do so. All submissions are expected to
comply with the standards set forth in the Terms of use, which can be found here.
If a business believes that a review
violates one of these terms or criteria, a representative of the business
should contact FinditMonroe at reviews@finditmonroe.com.
 
Where does FinditMonroe.com get its address information?
FinditMonroe purchased a database of
businesses in Monroe County. The database is already out of date, but with your
help we are working to update it. If you see a listing that is no longer in
business, please report it to the administration. If your business is not
listed, please submit it here.
How does the search process work on FinditMonroe?
Keyword searches pull up the specific
words from business titles. To narrow down your search, use the suggested
categories that appear after using the keyword search, or try using the
Business by Category search.
