I have not been here for a good five years or more but tried it again last week. I had a filet mignon for lunch and was surprised at how very small it was given the price. You only got one side with it such as a salad or a potato but not both. That surprised me too. Usually a salad and a potato is standard with a steak. I would have called it at best a $8 meal but paid about $13. I likely will not be back. It did taste good though.

We have always heard good things so we went to check it out. We probably won't be going back.

My mom had the burger which was good and my husband had the Chicken Marsala which was okay. I ordered the smaller appetite spaghetti with meat sauce and was very unimpressed. It smelled bad, like old water or something. It didn't taste very good either. I also ordered the Antipasto salad, it was good but it was $7.95 and it was the size of a side salad. They served it in a bigger bowl but it was a very small amount of lettuce.

The menu under "smaller appetite" says comes with your choice of potato, veggie or salad but I was informed it's miss worded and the pastas just come with a salad which I was already getting so I didn't get anything to go with my meal. Then we were charged for the full plate of spaghetti, when we questioned her she was rather hasty and said I'll have to check on that. I will say that we were using a restaurant.com gift card so perhaps that changed the level of service we received.

Also my husband was sick to his stomach by the time we got home. I would not recommend this place at this time.

Joe's had a rough period a few years ago, where the food suffered for a while, but they picked back up and the last year has been pretty good. I've eaten there about 5 times in the last year and had nothing but good meals and good service, so they seem to have turned a corner. Prices are in line with better restaurants in Monroe, I don't find them expensive, and they have several pasta dishes that go pretty cheap, so depends on what you order.

I have been to Joe's French Italian many times. When my family comes to Monroe, they prefer we dine where the food is good and the service even better. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys and expects the best.

When I first moved to the area, everyone recommended this place, so my husband and I decided to try it.

Have not been back since.

I thought it wasa overpriced, had a cafeteria type atmosphere, and the food did not seem authentic at all for my Italian entree. I did not enjoy my food, and I paid a lot of money for it.

I would not recommend this place.

High prices and average older atmosphere
,but have never had bad food or bad service, so that's good
