i absolutely love the clamdigger. i was going there when it was Pirate's Landing. I love it even more since it became the Big Digger. The whole set up of the bar is wonderful and i LOVE their mashed potato pizza. Yeah, some of the staff isn't the best, but still it's a great place to go. Especially if it's a Saturday night and they have a great band.

Wow.. from reading these other reviews I am quite shocked. I found the Claimdigger to be dirty, the waitstaff rude (once they finally did wait on our table) and honestly, nothing - nothing special at all about this place at all.,,, someone wrote this place is like a tropical hideaway? Get real...your talking east side of Monroe! Some on our ballteam went there two Friday's ago and vehicle was broken into... not the first time that has happended here.. they need to beef up security at night..

The Clam rocks when they have good beer. Bring back Leinenkugel's Creamy Dark or Sunset Wheat.

Best beer/food prices in town.

I prefer Clams during the colder weather when the boaters are not there.

A fun place to hang out, no need to dress up, hang out on the back deck drink corona's & watch the boats pull up. It is a local kind of place without pretence.

Without a doubt one of SE MI best summer hot spots. Not only is the Mashed potato pizza incomparable, the atmosphere is like a hidden tropical hideaway. The staff is great. The drinks are the absolute best in town. Worth every cent. and the owner one of the most helpful people in the entire county. You have to check it out.

You have the "Clam Hole" and the "Dump" side by side unfortunatly a stigma that will probably be there for along time. Not a bad place to hang out for a beer, or a clam digger, I love to go their after I'm done pretending I know how to play hockey with the guys. We always have a good time although I think they could spend a few dollars on some improvements. ie "restroom"

Good small bar for 30-50 years old, known for their clamdiggers and back patio overlooking the river, great for boaters, pull up and dock right behind the bar, not too many bars other than boat clubs to get there by boat. Plus, if it gets old here the bigger digger or the "dump" just an old nickname by locals is right next door and is usually filled with tons of people and local bands.

I love the Digger. They always have great drink specials and they are famous for their mashed potato pizza (seriously, if you haven't had it, you need to try it). What's cool is sitting out on the deck in the summer overlooking the water. Definitely one of Monroe's hidden treasures. They also make excellent clamdiggers!
